I understand that there are a multitude of photographers for you to consider when moving forward with making your new headshots a reality. It can be a nerve-wracking experience browsing portfolios, talking to friends/classmates/teachers/agents, pulling the trigger, making an appointment, and forking over your hard-earned cash.
At the end of that process, you want to know that you are getting the product that you need.

Hopefully, you are reading this because you have seen something on this site that speaks to you or you have been referred here by a friend, co-worker, agent, manager, teacher or classmate whose opinion you trust.

Some additional information that may help you make your decision:

• YES, I shoot using natural light. What this means is that your session will take place outside of the traditional "studio" environment. The result is: your photos will look cinematic but not staged. Shooting on location in Los Angeles gives us the freedom to use any color or texture in the background and also gives us the context for the "moments" that we need to capture for effective headshots.

• YES, I can provide you with a make-up artist. I also highly recommend this for all women. While most people are adept at applying their own day-to-day make-up, the camera sees things a bit differently than the human eye. The make-up artists I work with are skilled at applying natural-looking make-up that compliments my use of sunlight. Clients tend to note how they appear a little more defined/glamourous in their shots while not looking unlike themselves or seeming airbrushed. IN ADDITION: my makeup artist also provides light hair styling and helps to manage your hair throughout the shoot (essential when dealing with wind on location).

• YES, I shoot digitally. The advantages of digital shooting have long-since replaced the tradition of shooting film. The benefits include: INSTANT FEEDBACK (we can review your shots as we go along), UNLIMITED SHOTS (that is, we are limited only by the length of our session, not the number of camera clicks. Usually we shoot 60-70 frames of any given look) and QUICK TURNAROUND (clients can usually view their proofs online within 72 hours).
